Willow Smith, still just 16, penned a song on the day of election. Though she and her brother Jaden made their political views clear by protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline a couple weeks ago, the song, titled "November 9th," is apolitical and exists rather as a salve for the psychic wounds society has wrought on the listener. It is a short rather soothing record that treats itself almost a lullaby. "Peace and revelations to all!" Willow wrote in the song's SoundClound description.

Quotable Lyrics

Baby girl, I know you're tired
Don't let the world put out your fire
Take my hand and you will see
Sadness and anger aren't everything
Baby boy don't lose your sweetness
Don't think your humanity equals weakness
Take my hand and you shall see
Suppression and pain are not everything
