What’s up, world? Hope everyone has had a good couple of weeks. Today’s edition of What’s New In Battle Rap comes with “N.O.M.E. 7” and “Blackout 7” releases, and a few other battles as well. But the most exciting is probably what we have to look forward to, as one of our battle announcements is absolutely legendary. And even beyond that, a lot of these match ups are something to get hyped about.

O Red vs Showoff

What’s New In Battle Rap (June 24)

Despite the choke in his second round, pretty much everyone is saying this is a clear win for O Red. Crowd reactions pretty much vary from O Red 3-0 to O Red 2-1, and that’s just due to him choking.

Loso vs Jimz

What’s New In Battle Rap (June 24)

This is the Blackout 7 battle of the up and comers, as both MCs are making their debut on the King of the Dot main stage. Most people you ask would tell you that they’ve definitely earned their spots here.

Reverse Live vs Geech Gotti

What’s New In Battle Rap (June 24)

This unusual style battle was hosted by Avocado’s Ruin Your Day Youtube channel. According to Avo, it was made possible entirely by fan contributions. It’s notable for a few reasons aside from the good performances by both battlers. The visual and sound quality is better than many battles from established leagues, interestingly enough.

Brizz Rawsteen vs Ill Will

While these two both had relatively decent performances, the crowd seemed to lean more toward Brizz as the battle went on. This apparently messed with Will’s composure toward the end, and it surely didn’t help when someone in the audience fainted.

Chilla Jones vs Gjonaj

These guys are two of King of the Dot’s fan favorites. Both have widely acclaimed writing, but they have clearly different deliveries. Gjonaj’s aggression contrasts nicely with Chilla’s generally calm cadence here.

Loaded Lux vs Arsonal Announced for “Alpha N Omega”

What’s New In Battle Rap (June 24)

To start off announcements for the aptly named “Alpha N Omega” event, Arsonal’s U Dubb league dropped a bomb of a trailer. This could be the most anticipated match up in quite some time, and it’s the perfect way for Arsonal to end his career (if he really will retire).

Chilla Jones vs Illmac Announced for Massacre 3

What’s New In Battle Rap (June 24)

It’s been a couple of years since Illmac has battled outside of a King of the Dot title match, and this is quite a way to return. His opponent Chilla Jones, in addition to being one of the better writers in battle rap, is from Masschusetts and potentially could have quite the homefield advantage.

Charlie Clips vs The Saurus Announced for Massacre 3

What’s New In Battle Rap (June 24)

Two of the most legendary battlers of the current era are coming together on the King of the Dot stage. The Saurus and Clips have admittedly differing fan bases in large part, but we can all generally agree that this match can be a classic if they both show up.

DNA vs Jimz Announced for Massacre 3

What’s New In Battle Rap (June 24)

This is an interesting match up between Jimz, who just recently found his way onto the main KOTD stage, and DNA, who has been on seemingly every stage in battle rap countless times.

Shotgun Suge vs Shotti P Announced for Massacre 3

What’s New In Battle Rap (June 24)

Up and coming Detroit MC Shotti P is back on KOTD’s Massacre stage and he’s going up against Shotgun Suge, a battler who has a notably shaky past when it comes to Detroit.

Dirtbag Dan Drops Official Trailer for Caddy Royale

What’s New In Battle Rap (June 24)

Next month, Dirtbag Dan’s “Battle of the Zae 8” will feature yet another 6 man battle royale. It’s named the “Caddy Royale” to honor the memory of Cadalack Ron, whose last battle was a battle royale just like this one. The line up for this one is Frank Stacks, Everybody Knows, Mickey Worthless, Marv Won, Real Deal, and Illmaculate.
