Shady Record's newest signee Westside Gunn has been carving out a niche as a true modern day gangster rapper, with an old-school sound respectful of its influences. "Macho On Coke" immediately stands out due to a creepy beat from Daringer, who seems to be channeling some of RZA's The W vibes.
Both Gunn and Hommy trade off badass verses, with the latter sliding in a dope No Country For Old Men reference. It's cool to see Gunn still maintaining that Griselda sound, even after signing to such a mainstream label like Shady. Hopefully we can see a full length project in the near future.
