Towkio has made history, boldly going where no rapper has dared go. Uncharted territory for those accustomed to the recording studio. To be honest, the very idea is a head-scratcher in the truest sense. That doesn't make it any less inspirational to witness. While the rapper's debut album WWW. is still sinking in, the album launch has proven to be one of the more fascinating stories of the year thus far. Towkio dedicated himself to be the first musician to premiere his album from space, and damn it he actually followed through with it.

After sharing footage of the ascent on Instagram, Towkio decided to grant his fans a more intimate look at the process. Decked out in some genuine space gear, Towkio hunkered down in the claustrophobic craft, preparing for liftoff. The destination: ninety-two thousand feet into stratosphere. Space, for all intents and purposes. Now, you can witness the rapper's insane journey from start to finish. It's truly spectacular that Towkio actually went through with this. Seeing him go through an entire spectrum of emotion is a testament to his bravery.

The documentary opens with a brief rundown of the album's thematic concept, "the overview effect." For those unaware, the rapper broke it down for DJBooth, explaining the phenomenon. "It’s the looking back at the earth. It happens to astronauts when they leave the earth and they break the plane, it’s an out-of-body experience. They look back and see how precious it is because your life on Earth only exists on Earth. So, all of the bullshit you deal with on a day-to-day basis, it instantly goes out the window when you leave the plane and you’re looking at the earth.” Major props to Towkio for this one. Congrats of making history!
