Once friends, now foes.
An upcoming documentary from Channel 4 in the U.K., titled Public Enemies: Jay-Z and Kanye, bows on Monday night at 10 p.m. local time and will examine in great detail the complex relationship between two of hip-hop's biggest names.
Based on the trailer that was released recently, there is much to talk about. Called a "street guy from New York," Jay-Z far more meticulous and calculating personality definitely seems to have clashed with Kanye West's supposed "Mama's boy from Chicago" demeanor. What was once a friendship has clearly devolved into a more bitter rivalry these days, with West reportedly ready to fire back at Jay-Z after the latter aimed some verbal barbs from 4:44 his way.
