Stussy stresses the importance of the iconic television show, "Yo MTV Raps!" in a new two-part documentary.
Popular streetwear brand Stussy has just launched a collection of shirts and (reissued) trading cards inspire by the iconic MTV show "Yo MTV Raps!". On top of this, they've also filmed a short documentary revisiting the moment in hip hop history, highlighting artists such as Slick Rick, Gang Starr, Public Enemy, De La Soul, Brand Nubian, Queen Latifah, and more.
The doc arrives in two parts-- the first concentrates on how the program launched the misunderstood genre into the public eye, and the second focuses on the influence of golden age hip hop fashion.
