Lil Yachty recently paid a visit to Flight Club's Los Angeles location for a new episode of "Sneaker Shopping" with Complex's Joe La Puma, wherein the Atlanta native talked about buying fake Jordans as a kid and how he finally scored a pair of the elusive Nike Mags.
As Yachty explained during his trip to Flight Club, he didn't really have sneakers growing up but did manage to buy all of the "Royal" Air Jordan 1 through a facebook page called ATATF that links up buyers and sellers. In speaking about the Air Jordan 1s, Yachty also revealed that he scooped up multiple pairs of the "Top 3" Air Jordan 1s, though he seems to regret that decision, and says he's still on the hunt for the exclusive Fragment collab.
Elsewhere in the episode, Yachty discussed some of the current and classic signature basketball shoes, including Kevin Durant's signature line and the Nike Air More Uptempo, which he admittedly only started to like after the Supreme collab. He spoke about dropping $14,000 on a pair of Nike Mags, how he almost had a Reebok boat shoe collab, his love for New Balances and praised LaVar Ball's Big Baller Brand, dubbing himself the fourth Ball son.
At the end of his visit to Flight Club Los Angeles, Yachty walked out with over $2,100 worth of sneakers, including the "Red Suede" Air Jordan 21, the "Quai 54" Air Jordan 9, the "Forest Green" Air Jordan XIV, and the "Three Peat" Air Jordan 8.
