Wale is coming home for a high-profile event.
As per Billboard, BET Networks has announced a new concert event, BETX on the Road: DMV. DC native Wale will be the headliner and the evnet taking place in Washington, D.C. at the Fillmore Silver Spring on July 26 at 8 p.m.
BET seems to be positioning this as both a way of thanking fans as well as building up their Experience Festival, which is coming next year. "We are excited to launch the first BETX on the Road event this summer where it all began for BET -- Washington, D.C.," says Donna Blackman, senior VP, business operations for BET. "It's our way of thanking our loyal audience and getting them excited for all the great things to come at the BET Experience in 2018."
Ari Lennox, another DMV native, will join Wale as a special guest. She's currently one of the opening acts on Cole’s current 4 Your Eyez Only World Tour. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
