Last night saw Waka Flocka returning to Seattle, land of legal marijuana and the city where Flocka once got confused for Richard Sherman by a Seahawks fan. The Turn Up Godz show appeared lit -- possibly too lit -- as Waka ended the night in the hands of paramedics after ingesting more weed than he could handle. "Aw man. #seattle was too much last night," Flocka wrote on Instagram. "#nonGMO edibles and 20 or more blunts later."

The Instagram flex is perfected when you can get two legendary people in one photo, especially if they're a surprising combination. This week the "when you and your boy are riding different waves but still building" meme reached its highest point as Young Thug and Elton John posed for a photo in Atlanta, with Elton rocking a "Thugger" hat on top of everything. The two have been rumored to be working on a "Rocketman" remix, which we have no idea what to expect from, but even if these photos are the only thing that ever materializes from Elton Thug, we still feel satisfied.

Waka Flocka's highly flammable new a capella track "Wakapella" left some people wondering why he didn't do his bars justice by putting a beat underneath. Fortunately, Flocka has teamed up with Splice to create a custom drum sequencer that allows anyone to turn "Wakapella" into a fiery club banger.

The 16 second clip shows a blonde woman, presumably an overeager fan, approaching the Brick Squad rapper and doing something vaguely similar to "twerking," before Waka, having none of it, walks away unimpressed.

Waka Flocka is a guy who's not afraid to let his opinions be known, and he sometimes brings forth a point of view that clashes with that of the mainstream media. Such was the case with his recent remarks on the trial of Bill Cosby, and earlier today, a video surfaced that finds Waka explaining how he partly understands the controversial statements recently made by actress and current Fox News correspondent Stacey Dash.

Waka Flocka has had a weird couple of years. He's been promising both Flockavelli 2 and a full length EDM project (tentatively titled Flockavelli Psychotics) for some time, but as of yet there's no sign of them. A few months back, he dropped the Flockavelli 1.5 mixtape after publicly criticizing his label, Atlantic, for refusing him a release date.

Things were just beginning to slow down, as we had spent enough time arguing over the year's best music with a series of year-end lists and were ready to start thinking about what's in store for 2016. As we approached the holidays, though, some of our favorite artists were feeling particularly generous and gifted us with a wealth of new material.

It's been 5 years since Flockaveli dropped, and while some may have doubted Waka Flocka at the time, it's now clearer than ever that the Atlanta rapper's debut is an incredibly influential work. If you've been following Waka closely over the last few years, you know that the proper sequel to his breakthrough Flockaveli 2, has been in the works for some time. Just as it seemed it would finally be delivered, Flocka revealed that Atlantic was holding the album hostage.

Waka Flocka continues to put Atlantic Records on blast. He won't stop until they release his album, Flockaveli 2, or release him from the label. So far, they've done neither. Last month, Waka expressed all his grievances via Twitter, telling fans, "I fucking hate my label," before asking Atlantic to let him buy out of his contract.

With his debut album Only Way Is Up finally out, rapper K Camp is really able to secure himself as success in the rap game-- or at least, that's the hope. For the past year or two, Kristopher Cambell has been delivering massive hits in Atlanta to great success and everyone's enjoyment. What's funny though, is despite his successes and a particular ear for the desires of the A-Town market, K Camp's origins couldn't be more far from Atlanta; in fact he initially heralded all the way from Milwaukee.

Who Had The Better Verse: Gucci Mane Vs. Waka Flocka Jun 22, 2015 at 01:36pm
It’s always a beautiful thing when Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka get on a record together. Let’s be clear, these two men aren’t the most lyrical cats in the game, but they bring that bravado and street lingo that we all love and appreciate. Obviously, you’re not going to be enraptured by their lyrical wisdom and they won’t have an triple entendres for you to decode like the great Marshall Mathers, but their track record is immaculate. Who can forget about how their Ferrari Boyz project had us wanting to be in the trap?
