Bonnaroo has announced the full lineup for its 2016 festival, scheduled for the weekend of June 9-12. Hip-hop & R&B acts include J. If there's one New Year's resolution that every hip hop fan should adopt for 2016, it's to stop using the term "conscious rap." The catch-all name for political, non-materialistic, socially conscious, or in recent years, "woke" hip hop has been attached to some truly great music, from Grandmaster Flash's "The Message" to Kendrick Lamar's most recent album, and countless other important cultural touchstones along the way. That's not the issue. More rappers should strive to cover these issues in their music, certainly.

In a new profile of Staples published in the California Sunday Magazine, the 22-year-old rapper says he will retire from hip hop before 2018 arrives. “You’re out of your goddamn mind if you think I’m going to be doing this music shit for more than two more years," he said.

Vince Staples Summertime '06 is one of the hottest rap albums of 2015, and now the Long Beach rapper is taking it on tour. He announced tour dates not long after wrapping up his portion of the "Rocky and Tyler" tour. The "Circa '06" tour will take place in two stages, the first kicking off on December 2 in Philly and the second kicking off in February in San Francisco. Check out full tour dates below.
