Vince Staples is a person whose opinion people respect, whether it be on record or in interviews, so when he was asked about Donald Trump's recent election on Power 106, listeners were all ears.
"It makes sense," said Vince, suggesting that his grandmother had been sure of the election's outcome all along. "My grandma told me he was gonna win a long time ago. She said, 'you n*ggas is crazy if you think that lady gon' win -- her exact sentence."
"It says less about him and more about us," he continued. "If you saying certain things, and people is agreeing with it, then I mean that's how they feel."
Later on, Dave Chappelle's monologue on SNL was brought up, where he said of Trump: "I’m going to give him a chance, and we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too."
As far as giving Trump a "chance," Vince joked, "I mean what you gon' do? Pop him?"
