Vince Staples just released his Prima Donna EP, a project that is both aggressively political and personal. He joined Funkmaster Flex on his HOT 97 show to share a freestyle which covered much of the same territory as his recent work. The rapper shares bars that reference Black Lives Matter and protest gentrification, rapping, "If my black life matter, motherfucker, start business in your hood, instead of letting fucking Starbucks in it." Overall, it's a tense and exhilarating listen, putting Vince over the iconic intrumental for Raekwon's "Ice Cream."
