Vic Mensa was reliably releasing a song a week for a portion of the summer, a smattering of freestyles and looses releases that included the absolutely massive Skrillex & Jahlil Beats-produced "No Chill." He stopped putting out fresh tracks for a couple months, until early this morning, when he shared a new freestyle "Married to the King."
The track is produced by Deputy, who employs swerving, humorous 808s and floaty upper register synths to make room in the middle for Vic's raspy tenor. "I'm married to the bitch, she married to the king," he raps, seemingly a double entendre implying both females and the music industry.
