Although Vic Mensa is perpetually preaching positivity, he has tons of controversy attached to his name. His outspokenness can sometimes be his downfall as he dissed XXXTentacion during a BET Awards cypher earlier this year, resulting in some major backlash. It feels as though Vic is always fighting an uphill battle and though he may not win all the time, he remains constant in the rap game. His newest effort Hooligans is set to release tonight and "In Some Trouble" is a great start to see what you can expect from it.

The Chicago rapper teams up with Ty Dolla $ign in this collaboration as Ty sets out to get some ladies away from their men. He sings, "I'ma fuck around and get you in some trouble." The track is very much in line with Ty's style but for Vic, it's somewhat of a departure from what we're used to. He appears to be exploring more of a singing vibe these days, getting in touch with his melodic side. "In Some Trouble" is available to stream or preview now in select international markets.
