Universal To Reissue Classic Albums From Eminem, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne & More On Vinyl

Classic albums from the likes of Eminem, 50 Cent, Kanye West and more will be reissued on vinyl, courtesy of Universal Music.

Vinyl was once an inseparable part of hip hop culture, but as technology has advanced, the format has naturally fallen out of favor (even in the DJ world). Universal Music is making an effort to give collectors another (or in some cases, first) chance to own some of genre's seminal albums on wax.

The label's intention with the project is to “spotlight iconic, genre-defining albums” from the past releases of Def Jam, Interscope, Priority and Virgin Records.

Among the new releases will be the newly blood-splattered DMX album, Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood, 50 Cent's "platinum" vinyl edition of his debut, Weezy's Tha Carter, and for some reason, both D12 albums.
