Chuck Inglish has been working hard lately. The rapper dropped a free EP a few months ago, and he already has another one on the way, which will precede his solo album Convertibles. The newest EP, Easily, was announced this past week with the first leak “Came Thru/Easily.” It’s a great collaboration consisting of Chuck, Mac and Soulo. Can’t complain at that line-up one bit. Of course the bass-driven production is handled by Chuck who utilizes many of his usual production elements to make a thumping track. The EP will also feature a record with Sir Michael Rocks, so that’ll definitely be one to look out for.
Underrated Audio: September 28- October 4
This is one big, kind of strange, rap collaboration, which works extremely well. Production duo Blue Sky Black Death provide an electronic-influenced and ethereal backdrop for the likes of GuWop, Deniro Farrar, Nacho Picasso and Mack Shine. Gucci delivers a hook as well, while Nacho drops some jokes lines, such as, “I get high ‘fore I get dressed, does that mean I’m high fashion?” Ponder that one while you listen to the track above.
CJ Fly- Sadderdaze Feat. Ab-Soul
Another Ab-Soul-featured track for Underrated Audio this week, this time he connected with Pro Era’s upcoming spitter CJ Fly. CJ, who seems to enjoy giving unique spellings to things (see his mixtape), spits bars over production backed by trumpets with a smooth jazzy feel. CJ is definitely in the same vein as his more famous counterpart, Joey Bada$$, but his voice is still distinct. Soulo of course drops philosophical some gems about life on earth. And on an unrelated note, does CJ Fly not look like he could be related to Mos Def?
This is a huge remix from dead prez’ 2012 album Information Age. For whatever reason, dead prez came through with this official remix of “Time Travel” on Friday and recruited Bussa Bus, the Trill OG, Black Though and Tr!x to add their two cents. The track really has an out-of-this-world feel and each rapper adds to that feeling by spitting a dope verse about science, time travel, or some other extraterrestrial shit.
Vic Mensa- Lovely Day
Chicago rapper Vic Mensa's buzz has been rising, all to lead to his new mixtape, INNANETAPE, which dropped at the beginning of the week. The emcee is very similar to Chance The Rapper in terms of sound and style, but seeing that both hail from Chi-town, and are acquaintances (they collaborated together on the tape too), it may not be such a surprise; and perhaps Vic hasn't found his own lane yet, as he definitely experiments with his voice and flow through out the project. Vic's voice isn't quite as nasally as Chance, although he does break out in song from time to time, not unsimilar to Chance. "Lovely Day" is just a feel good, bouncy joint which Vic sings on.

B.o.B speaks of his "underground Luxury" album, how he feels it will be the best album of the year, and the exciting energy currently present in hip hop.
