Trademark Da Skydiver- 1,000 Pounds Feat. Bodega Bamz
Trademark kills this hook. Trademark flows extremely well over the smooth and mesmerizing beat. This is the second dope leak we’ve received off Trademark’s upcoming album Flamingo Barnes 2, so it’s looking good for the Jet Life affiliate. Although Bodega Bamz goes in on his verse, it’s Trademark who really makes the track nice.
Kings Dead- I’ve Been Here Before Feat. Bizzy Crook
This shows you just some of the dope production you get on the SMKA-produced compilation tape The Hang Out: A3C Edition. Kings Dead and Bizzy Crook were some of the rappers who stopped by SMKA’s studio session in Atlanta to contribute to the tape, creating this memorable collaboration over looping female vocals. The tape mostly consists of rising and underground rappers but should not be missed.
Flume- Space Cadet Feat. Ghostface Killah & Autre Ne Veut
One of my current favourite producers Flume hit the interweb with this Ghostface Killah-featured leak at the end of the week. The futuristic sounding track is aptly titled “Space Cadet” and Ghostface (surprisingly?) works really well on it, while American singer Autre Ne Veut adds backing vocals creating another layer to electronic beat.
Rockie Fresh- Headquarters Freestyle (Prod. By Lunice)
The Rockie x Lunice collaborations are usually on point, and this one’s no different. Lunice’s signature sound is all over this metallic and hollow-feeling production (complete with barking noises). It’s a banger they created quickly before they head out on tour together, and it will undoubtedly do well when performed live.
HNHH's "Underrated Audio" puts you on not-too-mainstream music you might have missed from the past week.
Among the ton of mixtapes and singles we received, we've picked out four in particular that deserve a second look in this week's Underrated Audio.
