This was one of the first leaks off Harry Fraud’s new mixtape, Adrift, and it got fans amped for the full thing. When the entire project dropped, fans weren’t disappointed; however, the project did consist mainly of previously heard tracks. This Bronsolino track was all-new though. AB always seems to go well over Fraud production, and although it’s sometimes hard to keep track of what he’s actually talking about, you can still enjoy the sound of his voice over a smooth beat from Fraud.
Deniro Farrar- Can’t Get Sleep
Deniro Farrar is an upcoming rapper from Charlotte, North Carolina, who already has his very own sound down pat. The rapper has a deep voice, perfect for the dark beats he often chooses to rap over. He has an eclectic beat taste, as is evident by this track alone. The production is dope in and of itself, but Deniro adds to it with his verses about real life shit—his new born child and the problems that comes with balancing a child and living his own life. If you haven't, check out his brand new tape (on which this song lives) The Patriarch.
Producer Scoop DeVille, L.A. rapper Jonwayne and producer/emcee Chuck Inglish all joined forces as a new group “Digital Diamonds.” Originally Digital Diamonds was a duo, but with the addition of Chuck Inglish it sounds like they’ve found their groove. This was the first track they released as a trio with Scoop handling the production. It should be interesting to see what else they come out with, given the amount of talent of the producers in the group.
Sir Michael Rocks- Lookin For Da Cuff
Another Cool Kid for UA this week. Mikey Rocks is continuously evolving his sound and flow, and it just seems to keep getting better and better. As he preps his upcoming EP BANCO, he dropped off two freebies last week. This was one of them, and it’s ill. Sir Michael kills the hook as usual, my only problem is that it’s only a 1:40.
Obie Trice- Pocket Full
Obie Trice hasn’t really been delivering steady content lately, but for Notorious B.I.G.’s death anniversary he dropped this tribute to the OG. It’s surprisingly good, sometimes Obie is a hit or miss, and this one is a definite hit. It has an old school feel and a delivery reminiscent of Biggie, which is perfect for a tribute to the late rapper.
HNHH's "Underrated Audio" puts you on not-too-mainstream music you might have missed from the past week.
It seems like the lack-of-music we we're talking about on last week's Underrated Audio has finally come to an end. This past week we've seen huge songs drop from Drake, Fabolous, A$AP Rocky, Lupe Fiasco and Ace Hood, just to name a few. You'll see some of those songs topped our Top 100 and were featured on Top Tracks of the Week, but it wasn't only the big names dropping music this past week. Some smaller names in the rap game dropped audio dope as well, check that out by clicking through the gallery above.
