Travi$ Scott seems to have been prepping his Owl Pharaoh EP since he first arrived on the rap scene, and although he’s yet to release a debut full-length project yet, he must be doing something right. The rapper, who is apparently signed to G.O.O.D Music but also has some sort of deal with Grand Hustle(?), was recently named an XXL Freshmen for 2013, now that he’s finally (almost) ready to release that aforementioned debut project. Travi$ already seems to have his own style and ‘brand’ down pat, which is quite a feat for an up-coming rapper, but we guess that's what the support of ‘Ye and Tip will do. Not to neglect mentioning this leak right here; it’s dark, heavy-hitting production, which seems to be typical for Travi$, as he and Wale spit about la cocaína.
King Chip- Heinous Feat. Tezo
This track is an all-Cleveland affair, with King Chip and Tezo delivering the bars and King Chip also on the boards. King Chip handles the production quite well, and of course delivers a solid hook and verse. Apparently this song is going to be used as Tezo’s new single, although it sounds more like it’s Chip’s song.
Action Bronson- Compliments To The Chef Feat. Lauriana Mae
Action Bronson delivered this appropriately titled track as part of a Peter Rosenberg and Ecko’s The New York Renaissance mixtape. Bronsolino works with his frequent collaborator Harry Fraud on this one, and the result is great, as we’ve come to expect. Of course, Bronson drops a few recipe gems over the feel-good instrumental, with a hook handled by singer Lauriana Mae.
Young Roddy was featured on UA last week with his “Ignorant Shit (Freestyle)” and it seems like that was just a preview from the Jet Life associate. The rapper released a new mixtape on April Fools, Good Sense 2, which had this Spitta collaboration on it. While Young Roddy still has some growing to do, he’s definitely got the Jet Life vibes.
HNHH's "Underrated Audio" puts you on not-too-mainstream music you might have missed from the past week.
The first week of April has arrived, and along with it came a few jams from some of the usual suspects: King Chip, Action Bronson, Young Roddy and Travi$ Scott. These four are no strangers to Underrated Audio, but soon one or two of them may get too big for the UA circuit and move on up to Top Tracks of the Week. Namely, Travi$ Scott, who almost reached 24,000 views on his Wale-featured "Quintana." If he continues down the route of good features and dope beats, he'll definitely be raking in larger views soon enough. Nonetheless, check out the four artists who deserve another look in the gallery above.
