HNHH's "Underrated Audio" puts you on not-too-mainstream music you might have missed from the past week.
Whatup, this week's UA is quite solid. Danny Brown's remix of Rich Hil's "Betcha Hate It" may be my favorite off this list though, but Murs and Fashawn link up, as well as Mikkey Haltsed and Pusha T, plus some previously unreleased Pac Div. We've been getting a lot of Pac Div music the past few days, the newest one that dropped today, "Bank," is hella dope and has Chuck Inglish production-vibes with the simple drums, but it's produced by Scoop DeVille (who did Kendrick's "The Recipe"). Scoop DeVille's been turning out dope beats.
Murs and Fashawn are joining forces for a collaborative project called This Generation. This was the first leak off it, and even though the beat is kind of reminiscent of the Little Mermaid, I still fuck with it. Murs and Fashawn exchange bars back and forth which keeps it interesting. The project will be entirely produced by Beatnick & K-Salaam.
Danny Brown adds a verse to Rich Hil's song with this remix, and steals the show. It's taken me a little bit to get used to Danny's high-pitched rapping but I'm feeling him now. He brings a dope energy to every song. Too bad there's not two verses from the gap-toothed rapper though.
Pac Div- Take Me Back
This Pac Div track was taken off their 2011 mixtape Mania! at the last minute, which is unfortunate, but at least we're getting to hear it now. The smooth beat is provided by Rich Kidd, as Pac Div reminisce about the past and want to return to it.
I wasn't sure what kind of beat we'd be getting on this with Young Chop as the producer, but this is much less of a trap beat then I'd though it be. Nonetheless the song is about grinding and getting out of the trap. So who better to feature than Pusha Ton? He comes through with a solid verse. This is off Mikkey's upcoming mixtape Castro.
