RTMG- Exclusive Feat. Kevin Gates
We haven’t heard much from RTMG, which stands for Roc Town Music Group, but they released this ish last Saturday and the Kevin Gates feature nabbed our attention. The knocking beat is also a plus, produced by RTMG member Gunz (other members are C Boddy and Young Freq). Each rapper spits about that perks of getting that exclusive shit, from clothes to chicks to marijuana, with a hook that might get stuck in your head for the day.
Iamsu!- Who Do You Love (Freestyle)
Before we start getting daily “Who Do You Love” freestyles, by which time we will be thoroughly sick of the DJ Mustard production, Iamsu! drops his own. And we’re glad he did, because at this point the beat is as catchy as ever, and Iamsu! brings some more West Coast flavour to it although it’s different than that of YG. ”You don’t like me? I don’t like you either.”
Tris J and Sir Michael Rocks, part of the TPC collective from Chi-town, not to mention cousins , join forces on this cut for some good ol’ shit talkin’. Who doesn’t enjoy some good ol’ shit talkin’? Smoko Ono and Papi Beatz provide low-key snyth-driven production for Tris and Mikey to talk their shit, and they do it with a sense of humor. As Tris J says in the hook, “All the hoes want a nigga that can talk shit. And all the niggas want a hoe that can suck a dick.” Ya heard?
Sean Price- N*ggerific
Well, this had to go in Underrated Audio for the title alone. Sean Price always comes funny and correct. This is a short, sweet and very funky joint (produced by DJ PF Cuttin) from the Brooklyn emcee, so there’s not much to really say on it. As Sean P said himself, "I don't know? Who gives a fuck? Just listen or don't." That about sums it up nicely.
HNHH's "Underrated Audio" puts you on not-too-mainstream music you might have missed from the past week.
New Years Eve celebrations went down just a few days ago, so this weekend you may still be recovering from all your mid-week partying. While you do that, you can take a look at the four chill cuts sitting in Underrated Audio this week. No records too turned up this weekend.
From a little-known Arkansas rap group to Sean Price, here are four pieces of audio we're giving a second look.
