ASAP Rocky Freestyles Over Tyler, The Creator's "Yonkers"
ASAP Rocky
ASAP Rocky and Tyler, The Creator wrapped up their Rocky & Tyler tour in San Francisco over the weekend, and they made sure to make in a memorable finale. Not only did Rocky bring out the one and only Based God for the occasion, he also spit a freestyle over his touring partner's most iconic beat "Yonkers". As the title suggests, Tyler's breakout single has a pretty New York-leaning instrumental, which means the ASAP leader sounded great on top of it. By the sounds of it, he's going right off the dome. Think it should be about time for the two to get on a track together, no?

After counting down the release on twitter all day, Tyler The Creator decides to come through and liberate the official video for his Cherry Bomb cut “Buffalo.” Directed by Wolf Haley, the video is exactly what you’d expect from Tyler, an off the wall & socially-conscious effort that finds him coated in white paint and hanging from a tree, before later transitioning into an old 70’s tv show where Tyler then went on to perform another record off Cherry Bomb in “Find You Wings.”

Tyler, The Creator is an entertainer at heart. Even when he's not making music, he's always filled with energy and ready to perform. Rocky's always been a bit more mellow, but just as ready to have a laugh, so it only made sense that the two play off each other in the trailer for their upcoming tour.

A "new" Dr. Seuss book is hitting shelves, although it's not exactly new, it was believed to be written between 1950 - 1960, but was only just discovered. Jimmy Kimmel wanted to liven up the rhymes from Dr. Seuss' "What Pet Should I Get?" and so he invited one of rap's favorite trolls, Tyler, The Creator, to spit some of the story.

While in Vancouver, BC, Nardwuar linked up with Odd Future's frontman Tyler, The Creator, for a characteristically unique interview. Nardwuar, as he is warrant to do, gives Tyler a few gifts (vinyl, MF DOOM doll, etc) during the interview while asking him some odd questions like, "what does MF DOOM smell like?" Nardwuar even digs up a Tyler, The Creator look-alike named Einstein, while Tyler attempts to yell at the mic but cannot because he is so tired/his voice is gone.

After making a "sick jump" entrance on the Jimmy Kimmel stage, Tyler, The Creator sits down with the host and speaks on how his name originated. It apparently dates back to the MySpace days, when Tyler had about three different MySpace pages, and the one that happened to be the titled Tyler, The Creator gained the most traction. In the segments that follow, Tyler talks about the "regular" jobs he had in his past, at Starbucks and FedEx. He says that FedEx only lasted a week and four days, whereas Starbucks was two years and a half years before he was fired.

Amid crowd-pleasers from his past albums Goblin and Wolf, Tyler also performed "DEATHCAMP" and "FUCKING YOUNG", the two tracks he leaked last week when he announced the surprise album.

The Odd Future head honcho just announced a new album, Cherry Bomb, and along with an iTunes preorder came two new songs, "DEATHCAMP" and "FUCKING YOUNG / PERFECT." Today, he's shared a video for the latter, which features the aforementioned batshit guest spot from Uncle Charlie.

Eric Andre's Adult Swim talk show has been off-the-wall from the pilot, but the comedian (joined by his straight man sidekick, Hannibal Burress) has managed to up the absurdity pretty consistently over time.   A couple weeks back we saw Wiz Khalifa stop by, maintaining his laid-back stoner vibe while chaos ensued around him. This week, Tyler, The Creator makes an appearance, and of course, he makes sure to bring his own bizarre energy to the mix.

Iggy Azalea
Last week, Tyler the Creator had some choice words for Iggy Azalea, saying she "stinks" and doesn't have a real booty on BET's 106 & Park. He later took to twitter to apologize and claimed he was just joking. Last weekend at Power 106's PowerHouse concert in L.A., Iggy was asked about situation for the first time in person. She maintained a cool head and says there's no "beef" or grudge. After all, she does have a hit song right now in "Fancy", and is dating Swaggy P of the Lakers, so I don’t think she’s too worried about this. Check out the brief interview above.
