Although fashion has always been a part of hip-hop culture, it's been taken to a new level in recent years thanks to artists such as A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, Pharrell, 2 Chainz and Danny Brown. Love it or hate it, more and more of your favorite emcees are becoming acutely fashion conscious, both in and outside the genre. Current trends include jogging pants (leather or otherwise), leather in general, snapbacks, tall tees, diverse camo and the slightly suspect shorts over tight pants or leggings look. Needless to say, some pull these off better than others.

Tyler, The Creator has definitely created a crazy persona for himself. Whether it's his raps, his style, or his tweets, Tyler knows how to get people riled up (including himself). It makes us wonder whether Tyler is that way 24/7, or whether he calms down when he's not in the public eye. His personality is very much on the opposite spectrum of r'n'b crooner Frank Ocean, who gives off a much more mellow vibe.

Last weekend, Justin Bieber got in some trouble for allegedly speeding recklessly through a gated community in Calabasas. The singer was chased down by former NFL superstar Keyshawn Johnson, after he saw Bieber tearing down the street in his Ferrari.  Fearing that Biebz was putting people in danger, Johnson blocked Justin in his driveway with his Prius (!!!) to confront him before the singer ducked into his house and refused to come out.

This week we see Tyga make an entry onto the charts, while Tyler, the Creator, whose album dropped last week, fell quite a bit from his impressive #3 debut. Tyga's Hotel California is definitely a venture into the more typical sound that has defined Tyler's career, with plenty of DJ Mustard-esque beats and the accompanying flow. However, maybe this signature sound isn't the signature fans are looking for after all. The album debuted at #7, which is not as good as his last LP, Careless World.

This week we see a new entry in Chart's Dont Lie, with Tyler, the Creator's WOLF having dropped on April 2nd. The rapper is definitely expanding his fanbase, with this album impressively debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200. Tyler has been known for extreme and controversial lyrics, which may have made him less accessible to the general public in the past. Now it seems like the public is getting desensitized to the rambunctious rapper, or perhaps it's that the OF member is becoming more radio-friendly and mainstream-- what do you think?
