From the beginning, Odd Future's taste has been as visible as their music. When they first hit the scene, we knew they hated west coast jerking trends, and loved The Neptunes and Adventure Time. Now with the Odd Future Carnival becoming an annual event, OF leader Tyler, The Creator gets to put his favorite stuff on a pedestal for a huge audience, so this year he made sure to bring one of his favorite acts (N.E.R.D) together on stage.

Tyler, The Creator is planning to give us an inside look into the creation of his third album Wolf, which dropped last April. However, this is going to be a pretty exclusive documentary, as only 100 copies will be made, and 50 of them will be available at the upcoming Odd Future Camp Flog Gnaw (which goes down in two days).

Violence isn't an odd topic in hip-hop music by any stretch of the imagination; there probably hasn't been a mainstream rap album to hit stores this year in which an emcee didn't at least threaten to kill someone. Gun violence and homicide are an epidemic in hip-hop. Cannibalism, torture, and crucification, on the other hand, are harder topics to come by.

Mass Appeal, who've seen a resurgence over the past two years, and they've even started their own imprint with help from Nas, have revealed the cover for their new issue. They've tapped Tyler, The Creator and actor/comedian Eric André to fuck shit up on the magazine cover. What else would they do?

Fall is next week. This means it's about to be that season where it's time to grind as the big album releases come through. Summer has been pretty tame, so you'd think some serious heat is on the way soon. Plus, Meek Mill gets out of jail in the fall.

This past week, Apple unveiled the iPhone 6 and iWatch at a highly-hyped conference in Cupertino, CA. But perhaps the biggest news story to emerge from the event was U2's surprise arrival to perform new material, announce a new album, and (surely the strangest part) inform iTunes users that the album was, at that very moment, in their libraries, free of charge.

The Odd Future brand continues to expand into arenas both likely and unlikely. They've got an expansive merchandise line, their own TV show, and their own festival, among other things. This latest move, an Odd Future radio station, isn't exactly unlikely, as obviously these are a group of musical cats. The crew has teamed up with DJ Skee's new DASH radio platform to host a 24/7 channel.

Ferguson. The ALS Challenge. Rihanna apparently still banging Drake. "Anaconda" threatening the drown America in thirst. Etc., Etc. There wasn't much new material to come out of the hip-hop community, but the artists still had plenty to talk about and cause controversy over during the past couple of days.

In an ideal world, Remy Ma would be in this edition of 140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week instead of being in jail for another week. But, then again, Remy Ma wouldn't have been serving time in the first place. Still, life goes on and the tweets still roll.

Celebrities, including rappers, have been inking endorsements deals with companies since the dawn of advertising. Hip hop music is more popular and marketable to the mainstream now than ever before, so these kinds of deals are on the rise. For many of these hip hop figures, endorsements deals are not only a way to make large sums of money but also aid in the promotion of their own music and brand.

Earlier in the month, it was announced that Eminem would be making hip hop history by becoming the very first rapper to headline Wembley stadium.  Not only that, when tickets went on sale last week, Em managed to sell out the gigantic venue almost immediately, resulting in a second date being added. The opening act for the momentous occasion has now been announced, and it happens to be none other than Tyler, The Creator and his Odd Future cohorts.

Tyler, The Creator Acts Out At Buzzfeed Office, Staff Live Tweet Their Terror [Update: Tyler Responds]
    May 14, 2014 at 06:29pm
Tyler, The Creator is not known for his composure, which probably should have raised a red flag before Buzzfeed invited him to hang out at their office today. While it's not clear why he was there, the Twitter accounts of some staff members were able to broadcast just the type of activity that was going on during his visit. It seems as though Tyler spent much of his time screaming incoherently, liberally using the N-word, making distasteful jokes about Frank Ocean, and shooting random people with a Nerf gun-- so pretty much just an average hour in the rapper's life.

Since Odd Future's first break into the public eye, the anticipation for an Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, The Creator joint album has existed. The name of the hypothetical album, EarlWolf also dates back to this time, and tracks like "AssMilk", "Lemonade" and more recently, "Whoa" have solidified the chemistry between the two rappers.

If you recall, Tyler was arrested at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas on Saturday after he urged fans right outside of the venue to break past the barriers set up keeping them out of the show, which was already at capacity. In doing so he (allegedly) incited a riot of sorts.

Perhaps Tyler should have behaved himself better, but when you invite the man responsible for the motto, "kill people, burn shit, fuck school," to a festival, perhaps you best expect a little chaos. If you're not entirely sure just what happened, earlier this week Tyler encouraged a crowd at Austin to enter through the barricade to check out the show as the venue was already at capacity, which incidentally started a riot. He also was evidently chucking eggs at folks around the festival.
