Phrase, not Frank.

When Tyler, The Creator's acclaimed Flower Boy album leaked, the track "Garden Shed" was placed under the microscope. It seemed as if Tyler was lyrically emerging from the proverbial closet, and many would-be transcribers believed him to be saying the following:

"Truth is, since a youth kid, thought it was a phase
Thought it'd be like the Frank; poof, gone
But it's still goin' on"

News quickly spread, and many interpreted this to suggest some sort of connection to Frank Ocean. Some even speculated some sort of forbidden romance between the friends and collaborators. However, as it turns out, it was all a simple case of people hearing what they wanted to hear. In the wake of the album's official release, Tyler took to Twitter to clear the air:

As you can see, the word Frank was never uttered, but rather "phrase." At least it was clarified from the man himself, who must be loving the positive feedback his newest album has been receiving.
