On "Missing My Idols" Trippie Redd goes to back to a simpler time in his life and in rap music. He reminisces about listening to "old Wayne songs" while trying to emulate Lil Wayne's boasting and wordplay (which is, at the end of the day, impossible).

"Missing My Idols" is the most straight-up rapping on the whole album and something about it, maybe the beat or maybe the nasal note in his voice or maybe his flow, ends up sounding a lot like Drake, the last thing I'd expect from the psychedelic, drugged out rapper.

The track is in stark contrast to other songs on the album like "How You Feel," a guitar-driven song that sounds sort of like "Ghost Town" (and a lot like Juice WRLD) or "Dark Knight Dummo" which is definitively Travis Scott.

Quotable Lyrics

But nowadays I really miss my fucking idols, so that's the title
I grab a bible, pray for my rivals
Dead on arrival, I swear this shit to me like a cycle
Bodies in piles, blood rivers resemble Niles
They need survival, they need to rehearse a recital
I just sit back and listen to old Wayne songs
And get dome from a bitch while I brainstorm
And spit flames while also making it rain storm
