With his debut album Life's A Trip set to drop on August 10th, Trippie Redd has dropped off another offering from the album, "Taking A Walk."

While turning in a more muted effort than some of his notable hits, it's great to see Scott Storch once again holding it down on the keys. This time around, he opts for a subdued turn on a Rhodes-like organ, providing Trippie with plenty of space to lay down his angst-laden lyricism. Despite frequent allusions to suicide, Trippie does add a little bit of levity to the proceeding. "Get this green then smoke this green, gotta stay potent," raps, "pussy n***a talking shit but he ain't know shit, chicken noodle ass n***a, man, you boneless."

In truth, "Taking A Walk" is actually somewhat more self-aware than we've seen from Trippie. In the song's chorus, he acknowledges a perceived fascination with his own mortality, joking that his casket will be lavish in comparison to standard wood. What do ya'll think? Is this the one?

Quotable Lyrics

Ayy, rule number 1 never trust no bitch
Get this green then smoke this green, gotta stay potent
Pussy n***a talking shit but he ain't know shit
Chicken noodle ass n***a, man, you boneless
Yeah, I keep my ratchet, boy, you pole-less
