Tracy Morgan is an emotional guy, we don't give him enough credit for that. Yesterday evening, the iconic comedian received what may be his greatest personal achievement: the keys to Brooklyn, from the authority figure with the jurisdiction to make it happen.
For one day only, Tracy Morgan put down the "truck down" chain, cleaned himself a little bit. He showed up to the ceremony ready to drink moderately but not excessively, after having made a promise to Brooklyn borough president Eric Adams that he'd keep his pregnable antics to a minimum, at least until the after-party.
"You tell everyone, there are only two types of Americans: Those who live in Brooklyn and those who wish they could," Adams said as he presented Morgan to his audience. "When you hang out with him, you feel no different than hanging out with someone standing on the corner of Tompkins Avenue holding a Colt 45."
With respect to future endeavors, Tracy Morgan seems to have disavowed himself from the illustrious characters that made him famous. He doesn't want to reboot "Hustle Man" or any of the SNL personalities synonymous with his name. On his 50th birthday, Morgan is hell-bent on keeping things fresh, all the power to him.
