Staff Picks Playlist (February 5)
It's about that time. With the weekend imminent, as well as the SuperBowl, you surely need a playlist that will soundtrack your every move. This week's playlist is ultra-modern, occupied almost exclusively by a new generation of artists-- Young Thug, Roy Wood$, Tinashe, Jazz Cartier, Belly and more (we'll just glide over 2 Chainz, he's a strange case in that he's old-but-new). There's a fair amount of trap-influenced records, before moving into more musically-inclined songs. Shout out Angus for exclusively picking Young Thug records.
Tinashe Poses For Sultry Complex Cover
Tinashe let Complex into her home for a feature about family, but her photo shoot is certainly not family first. It’s a fitting transition as the singer slowly makes her way toward stardom.

5 Things We Want From Tinashe's "Joyride"
When exactly Tinashe's sophomore album, Joyride, is coming out has been as difficult to pinpoint as any of the anticipated releases of the last year. 2015 wrapped without any sign of it, but today's announcement that the singer will be heading out on a world tour in support of the LP next month is surely a sign it'll be out soon, right?
Tinashe Announces "Joyride" World Tour Dates

28 Grams: Hip Hop Instagram Recap (Oct 17-23)
There is much we can learn from rap Instagram, much to read between the lines as rappers attempt to craft their image without pesky publicists looking over their shoulder. TIDAL X 1020 and Powerhouse NYC went down at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Tinashe posed for Playboy, and Boosie was up to his usual bag of tricks. Take a look at some of the best hip hop Instagram posts of the week after the jump.
Tinashe Poses For Playboy
Don't get too excited, it's nothing you haven't seen before from the singer. Playboy magazine has unveiled a new photo shoot they did with Tinashe for their November issue. The shoot is pretty PG, with Tinashe sunbathing in a sports bra and bathing suit bottoms. Playboy recently announced they'd no longer be publishing nude photos of women in the magazine, so this shoot stays in line with that message.
Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, Lil Wayne & More Show Up To Alexander Wang's NYFW Show
Alexander Wang's show was the big event at New York Fashion Week Saturday night, and as Wang tends to be a favorite among rappers, there were many artists both in attendance and performing at the show and after party.Spectators included Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, Christina Milian, Karrueche, and the now very open couple, Tyga and Kylie Jenner.
Staff Picks Playlist (September 11)
Before you peace out for the weekend, we've got our weekly Staff Picks playlist. This week's playlist is full of heavy-hitters, as the past week was quite a healthy one when it comes to new music. Obviously one of the biggest highlights is the fact that Jay Rock's 90059 album is finally available, but we also received a semi-surprise EP from T.I. and we continue to be tantalized by thought of a Drake x Future mixtape dropping (today?!!).

Tinashe's quickly becoming the next big pop star. The girl has been touring the world with Nicki Minaj, as part of the opening acts on "The Pinkprint" tour, and soon she'll be joining Katy Perry for Perry's South American tour. The singer is always on her grind, needless to say, and after releasing her debut album Aquarius to positive reviews in 2014, she's quickly returning in the Fall for a sophomore effort. She's already recorded thirty records for it.
#WCW Quiz: Tinashe
Tinashe may have burst into the mainstream with her infectious summer hit, "2 On," but she's been building a loyal following through independent mixtapes for the last few years now. Before that, she was acting alongside Charlie Sheen in Two & A Half Men. It goes without saying, you might not know quite as much about Tinashe as you think you do, but we're here to separate the band-wagoners from the true fans with some Tinashe trivia.
Tinashe Is Working With The World's Biggest Pop Producers For Her Next Album
In the R&B game, there's no one hotter than Tinashe. Last fall, the 22-year-old L.A. singer blew us away with her debut album, Aquarius, which is still spawning hits, such as "All Hands On Deck," which just got a remarkable new video.
Diplo Has Collaborations With Tinashe & Iggy Azalea In Store
With the release of Major Lazer's new album Peace Is The Mission this past week, Diplo decided to do some quick/free promo by hopping on Reddit for an AMA. He was accompanied by Major Lazer counterpart, Walshy Fire. Unfortunately, he kept a lot of his answers extremely brief, something Reddit users seemed frustrated with. Nonetheless we did learn a thing or two. The producer said his "diplo x Jauz x Tinashe song is gonna be big," hinting at a collaboration to come with the L.A. DJ and the singer.

Last Thursday (May 21), a leak of Drake and Beyonce's "Can I" hit the Internet, instantaneously ramping up the hype for Views From the 6, though that was just the beginning. Three more Drizzy leaks have found their way onto the web, two that could potentially be VFT6 material.
Nothing Was The Same: Ranking Drake's Remixes
With yesterday's remix of Fetty Wap's "My Way," we're getting that feeling that this summer's gonna be Drizzy season yet again. Drizzy had the most successful 2014 of anyone who didn't put out an album, and he did it by dropping impromptu remixes on the ever-fashionable OVO soundcloud. First, the TOPSZN boys bumped up Tinashe's "2 On" to level 6, and, then, weekdays were forever changed as he flexed his vocals to the max on iLoveMakonnen's "Tuesday."
Hump Day Playlist
It's Hump Day on these internets, and while the term actually refers to the fact that once you're over the hump that is Wednesday your week is (basically) over, we're taking it literally. We've curated a great playlist for Hump Day. That means it's all r'n'b-ish music that should get you in the baby-making mood.
