When the rumors initially started circulating, we were immensely confused. "Why would Tinashe sign up for Dancing With The Stars?" asked many people. While the decision is still somewhat puzzling, maybe she was offered a bag for her upcoming efforts that was too good to turn down. Regardless, Tinashe has just gone ahead and confirmed the speculation that she will indeed be starring in the new season of Dancing

Since releasing Joyride, Tinashe has dropped a few standalone singles and although it appeared she was building towards another eventual album this year, the singer went through August without much going on, featuring on Bobby Brackins' project for one of her only appearances of the month. Perhaps it was a dream of hers to dance for the masses on television, impressing everybody's grandmother with her legitimate skills on the floor. Nashe confirmed the news on Instagram, posting a photo with her partner and excitedly writing, "The rumors are true!" Many commenters are saying she will body the entire competition since she is already a skilled dancer.

Her partner, Brandon Armstrong, is looking forward to performing with the "firecracker," and we're stoked to be seeing her on the small screen every week. Hopefully, this doesn't mean that she's slowing down with her music. Usually, when artists choose to move to DWTS or similar shows, it's not the greatest sign but we're crossing our fingers that Tinashe still finds time for the studio despite her new obligations.
