T.I.'s "No Mediocre" has all the markings of a hit. A steal-drum DJ Mustard beat, a feature from the chart-topping Iggy Azalea, and most recently, a beef. Azealia Banks, major label casualty and notorious Twitter troll took to her favorite social media service to call T.I. out on the song, writing, "U want no mediocre but ... Have you seen your wife?".
Tip responded the next day with one of the longest hyphenated adjectives of all time, calling Banks a 'musty-mouthed-thot-bot-bad-body-syphilis-lipped-rectum-vomit-unimportant-ugggggly-monstrosity-of-a-maggot-ass BIIIIIIIITCCHHHH' on Instagram.
Azealia then continued her rant, which included plans to sue T.I. for threatening her, but since then things have cooled down.
TMZ approached Tip today to get the lowdown on the situation, to which the rapper explained that he simply feels the need to fight for his family when they've been disrespected.
"Nah, no war," he said of his tiff with Banks. "Listen...I think we spoke about this earlier in the month and I think I said the same thing to you. No disrespect from no one at no time. No exceptions. You can say what you want about me, but if you say something about my family, man, I'ma go at you and I'ma be relentless. I'ma be relentless. I'll chew your throat off your neck if I need to. I have an oath to honor and respect and maintain the honor and respect and the integrity of my family. Anybody that violate that, I'm going. It's just that.
The ATL rapper stressed that anyone who has a problem with him, should take it up with him alone, rather than involve family members. "I didn't wake up nobody and bother nobody. I din't put nobody name in my mouth. Just leave me and my family alone. I'll do you better than that. Say what you will about me... Leave my family out of it. Say something about my family, I'm at you."
