Cynthia Nixon is most known for her role on Sex and the City. She is now reemerging in the spotlight as a politician. One of her main platforms is marijuana legalization. Although many people are skeptical about her chances of securing the democratic bid for the New York State gubernatorial race, T.I. is all for her leftist views.
He shared his support for the politician through an Instagram video. His caption addresses Nixon's racial justice awareness.

Nixon makes sure the reasons for her supporting the legalization of marijuana is clear.
"People across all ethnic and racial lines use marijuana at roughly the same rates but the arrests for marijuana are 80 percent Black and Latino [...] We need to parole people who are in jail from marijuana arrests and we need to expunge their records and use some of this tax revenue for them to reenter."
She drives her point home by conceptualizing the situation in other words.
"Marijuana has been legal for white people for a long time and time to make it legal for everyone else."
