Yesterday, AK of The Underachievers released a trailer announcing that he would release a solo project called Blessings in the Gray 2 in November. The trailer teased several songs from the project, including "Inner Peace," which AK released in full last night.  Rapping over soulful production from Taleil Brown, AK demonstrates the sort of motivation cosmic clarity and balance he displayed on Evermore - The Art of Duality. "Just a fraction of your energy could take you a mile."

Late last night, The Underachivers decided to bless fans with new heat, in honor of Mother's Day-- "Mothers Day gift to our INDIGOS WORLDWIDE," they wrote on Soundcloud. The song isn't really for the mamas, though, it's more like a crew anthem. The duo trade bars, big upping their homies and pledging their allegiance to them, over menacing production from Stavros. Apparently this is a cut off their "new project."

Yesterday evening before the clock struck midnight, The Underachievers. shared a 420 gift for "all our stoner INDIGOs worldwide" called "Play That Way." Produced by Ronny J, "Play That Way" features a prickly distorted bass, thin piano line, and characteristically torrid bars from Issa Gold and AK. The track will appear on the The Underachievers' next project, supposedly titled It Happened in Flatbush and set for a May release.

Flatbush Zombies are really treating us with their weekly "Day of the Dead" releases. The past few have been consistent heat--with features from grime legend Skepta, Domo Genesis, and A$AP Twelvyy--and "Did U Ever Think" is just as solid. This time, the Zombies don't need to look far from home, finding fellow Flatbush man Issa Gold, part of The Underachievers duo, and Bed Stuy's Joey Bada$$, hot off the release of his debut album.

Although previous collaborations between the groups have been sparse, Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers have always seemed to be on the same wavelength. Both more LSD-friendly and zooted than Pro Era, the only other big group in the Beast Coast movement, the BK groups have now linked up under a new moniker: Clockwork Indigo.
