YOUNGIN, a term used in Washington, D.C. as a term of endearment, is also the name of a rapper who was born and raised in D.C. YOUNGIN began rapping at the age of twelve (12). Not having the funds to go to studios, YOUNGIN taught himself how to write, produce, mix, and even do his own graphics and artwork. In June 2007, YOUNGIN won a local contest called “Hot 16”, where rappers spit a 16 bar verse and the viewers chose the winner. YOUNGIN directed and edited his first video "Sheesh" in 2011.
