The Weeknd didn't fully divulge himself to the public when he first started dropping internet-breaking-projects. The mysterious Canadian singer began with House of Balloons, and made a concerted effort to shield his face, and his person, from his listeners, creating an inherent emphasis on his vocals and, well, his music.

Of course, that meant the music had to be good. And it is. Thus, we've been following the Toronto-bred artist closely ever since, which resulted in a very busy 2011, complete with three mixtapes: House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence

Apart from the mixtape releases, we've yet to really receive official video content from the artist, let alone the type of content that puts the singer's face front and center. As it turns out, we will have to wait longer for that-- however the former has indeed arrived.

Following The Weeknd's audio being plastered across YouTube, with various fans creating makeshift visuals, we've got an official music video for the singer's House of Balloons cut, "The Knowing." The music video, which runs just over seven minutes, does not actually feature Abel, but instead, takes us to another sci-fi, futuristic planet of some sort.

Watch the new music video for "The Knowing," and let us know what you think. It's directed by Mikael Colombu.
