The Weeknd pursues tour despite doctor's orders

It seems Lil Wayne isn't the only one having health issues this week. The Weeknd has willingly ignored his doctor's orders to rest his vocal chords, Complex reports. Abel Tesfaye and his band performed the first of several sold out shows in New York City on Thursday to an adoring crowd and packed house. He told the crowd:

"I don't know if y'all know my condition right now, but my doctor tried to make me quit this tour early. But I looked him in the eyes and I said fuck that!"
