The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0, the brand's first commercially released self-lacing sneaker, launched last weekend for the retail price of $720 in a "Blue Lagoon" colorway that is currently worth thousands upon thousands of dollars on the secondary market.

It's not necessarily a surprise that the kicks are worth upwards of $1,000 on eBay right now but if you were debating whether or not to at least attempt to purchase the kicks at resale value, it's certainly a smart financial play.

Many of the kicks on eBay right now are in the $3,000 ballpark which means the next time the HyperAdapt 1.0 hits retailers for $720 there should be even more people trying to get their hands on these expensive sneakers.

The next drop hasn't been announced just yet but it's being reported that the "Metallic Silver/Black-White" colorway will be available through the NIKE+ APP and select Nike retailers later this month.
