Other than a very dope leak produced by Kaytranada, we haven't heard much new music from Syd Tha Kyd and Matt Martians' project, The Internet, since the release of 2013's Feel Good. Today, they've announced a new album, Ego Death, and shared the first track from the June 30th release, "Special Affair."
A seductive, funky dirge, the new track features a creeping bassline, sporadic bongos and rainforest sound effects. Syd uses her smoky alto voice to great effect, hovering above the humid track like an intoxicating mist.
