The Guys are a new duo out of Chicago's vibrant rap scene, but unlike the uber-hard Lil Herb and Lil Bibby, or post-ringtone bop duo Sicko Mobb, brothers Fya Starta and Smelly P's sound is increasingly harder to define.

Dabbling in various Chicago-centric styles on their last few releases, The Guys take their most surprising turn yet on "Still Wanna Kill Sam". The track is a revisitation of Ice Cube's similarly titled "Death Certificate" racket, with the duo getting political over a minimal, TLC-sampling instrumental provided by Fya Starta himself.

The Guys definitely make a case against those who feel Chi-town's scene is lacking in bars or content, with some powerful, but far from preachy lyrics directed at Sam:

"How is you my uncle?/ You ain't did shit for me/ But Zimmerman killed a kid/ You let him walk free/ And Casey Anthony/ Not Marissa Alexander though/ 'Cause she black/ Where'd the justice go?"
