Last month, we learned that The Game came very close to working with Prince a few years back, and while he won't have a musical collaboration with the late entertainer to remember him with, he has commissioned a very special piece of art in his honor. According to TMZ, Game contacted street artist Madsteez to reimagine a still from Purple Rain the day the singer passed, and a few weeks later, the piece is now complete.

The 65,000 painting is said to be done with spray paint, oil, and acrylic, and was done over 100 hours. It's no mystery why Madsteez was selected for the job, due to the generous use of purple in his work. Game and the artist posed with the painting for Instagram yesterday, and chances are the expensive piece is already being displayed prominently in the rapper's home.
