Last May, HNHH launched one Spotify playlist to rule them all: FIRE EMOJI: The Hottest Hip Hop Songs Right Now.
The playlist is updated on a daily basis and is representative of the best new releases in hip hop and R&B, or at least those that make it to Spotify. Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. was the biggest and best new project of a month that also the release of Gorillaz's Humanz, Rich Homie Quan's Back to the Basics, Joey Bada$$'s All-Amerikkkan Bada$$, Tee Grizzley's My Moment, Wale's SHiNE, Playboi Carti's self-titled debut, and Young Dolph's Bulletproof. Our April playlist contains songs from these projects and numerous others, plus a handful of songs released earlier in the year that remain at the front of our collective hip hop psyche.
