Tessa Thompson recently sat down with PorterEdit magazine to speak about her bisexuality and the close personal relationship she has been able to manifest with fellow entertainer Janelle Monáe.
The Westworld star admits that she and the "Make Me Feel" chanteuse "love each other deeply" and "vibrate on the same frequency. "It’s tricky, because Janelle and I are just really private people and we’re both trying to navigate how you reconcile wanting to have that privacy and space, and also wanting to use your platform and influence," Thompson admits.
Many have read that particular statement as a subtle revelation of Thompson and Monae's secret pairing. Taking to Twitter, Thompson posted a link to her hotly debated interview with a quip that reads: "Sometimes we cheer so loudly at someone speaking their truth, that we miss what they say. (Here’s looking at you media journalism). I didn’t say I was in a relationship. But I said lots of other things. All below. One thing I missed — Pride Has No End. x."
