Over the weekend, things took a turn for the strange when Jay Electronica's Periscope stream resulted in a diss against Kendrick Lamar (and a threat to slap 50 Cent). At first it didn't really seem like Jay Elect was dissing Kendrick, in fact he appeared to be defending him against his fans, before later alleging Kendrick's his son.
Whether or not it was clear at that time, it's clear now that Jay has it in for K. Dot. The rapper came out of musical hiding yesterday to unleash a new record, "The Curse of Mayweather," which didn't mince words when it comes to the Grammy Award winner.
TDE's President, Dave Free, who also produces from time to time, hopped on Twitter to defend his artist.
"Damn you still mad about control @JayElectronica ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚ #sadman," he wrote. Jay was swift in his reply to Free, "watch your mouth stay off the swine and get knowledge of self. your mans wack. dont make me crumble your whole shit." Free continued with the laugh-crying emojis and referred to Jay as a 'desperate housewife,' "Ok Mr. @JayElectronica lol #desperatehousewives."
