As you are probably aware, the annual SXSW music conference has kicked off in Austin, Texas. The festival will continue into the weekend, and will give many new and veteran artists alike a chance to perform at various showcases.
Every March, the relatively small city of Austin, Texas bursts at the seams for a few weeks to host South by Southwest (SXSW), a music, arts and film festival put on in venues around the downtown.
While SXSW started off as a showcase opportunity for rising artists all of genres, in recent years we've seen the rap genre take on a bigger influence at SXSW, not to mention, bigger artists as well. So, it may not come as a complete surprise that G.O.O.D.
Earlier this morning we posted some footage of 2 Chainz performance at Def Jam's SXSW showcase which kicked off last night. Tity Boi brought out rapping partner ScHoolboy Q to perform "What They Want", while Kanye West, Russell Simmons and more looked on.
As part of Def Jam's 30th anniversary celebrations, they kicked off SXSW with a Def Jam 30 showcase at Stubbs BBQ. For the event, they enlisted 2 Chainz, Pusha T, YG, Gunplay, Redmand and Method to perform.
