Dallas Mavericks guard Vince Carter called Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard "the biggest crybaby I know" during a timeout of the Mavericks' win Wednesday night.
ESPN Dallas reported the two exchanged words during a timeout in the second quarter of the Mavericks' 123-120 win over the Rockets. Carter interrupted Howard's one-sided discussion with an official when he loudly and repeatedly took his jab at Howard.
Dwight Howard is not the most beloved player in the NBA this year, league-wide he might be the most reviled, and on Wednesday the fans in Philadelphia were giving Dwight the business.
I don't know this for sure, but Philly fans are renowned for being the most "difficult" in the league, and in other sports. A fan on reddit snapped a photo of Howard displaying his frustration with the fans and flipping someone the finger.
It was an all-around tough night for D12 as the Rockets lost to the young Sixers 123-117 in overtime.
In a new vlog posted by UFC president, Dana White, Dwight Howard says he would fight in the UFC for the right price.
The vlog follows White behind the scenes at UFC 166 as he speaks with fighters and trainers, and then gets a visit from Dwight Howard and his Rockets teammate Chandler Parsons. Not overly familiar with the UFC, Parsons admits his intimidation at even attending the testosterone fueled event, and mentions how he would never climb in the octagon with a professional mixed martial arts fighter.
NBA fans in the Philippines were understandably excited when members of the Rockets and Pacers touched down to play a pre season game in Manila. After all, this is the first NBA game being played in the Philippines.
Never need much of a reason to insult Dwight Howard, Shaq put him on blast after he left the Los Angeles Lakers to join the Houston Rockets, saying “not a whole lot of people can handle being under the bright lights,” and adding, “I think it was a safe move for him to go to a little town like Houston.”
Shortly after it was officially announced that Dwight Howard would be leaving the Lakers to join the Rockets, Kobe Bryant took to Instagram to respond to the news. Kobe posted a picture of himself and Pau Gasol along with a message in Spanish: #Vamos #Juntos #Lakercorazon and #Vino which means "let's go" "united" "Laker Heart" and his latest nickname "Vino". Take it he is already over the big man?
