Nipsey Hussle has expressed frustration with the music industry recently, but it seems his problems extend towards rap criticism as well. After being approached for an interview with Complex, the rapper initially blew the publication off, tweeting that it would cost them $10,000 for a sit down.
Meek Mill and Wale are two of the most prominent emcees on MMG. The two have collaborated on plenty of tracks, some of which appear on the recent compilation Self Made Vol. 3, but according to Meek the two have a full tape dropping TODAY.
This past week the Drake frenzy surrounding Nothing Was The Same came to a peak when the actual first week sales were released. The rapper's album had the best opening week of this year second to Justin Timberlake's come back effort-- he even topped Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail first week sales.
This week has been Drizzy Drake everything, with the official release of Nothing Was The Same and a bunch of promo for it. Drake has not started taking over the charts yet, but that will change next week when we get the results of his first week sales.
MMG have certainly done their share of promotion for Self Made Vol. 3, with plenty of videos, leaks, and special events leading up to its release. The sales numbers are now in for the first week, and the project has moved 51,355 units.
Maybach Music Group released their third compilation effort, Self Made Vol. 3, this past week on September 17th. Although they chose to drop on a date without much competition, their sales projections aren't that strong.
MMG provided a full stream of their new Self Made Vol. 3 project earlier this week, and later announced that they would do a very special performance for the album, with various members performing in different cities, and broadcasting the sets in each respective venue.
