Six months ago, De La Soul set the release date for their Kickstarter-funded album And the Anonymous Nobody: April 29th. This morning, the storied Queens trio announced that they are pushing back the release date to August 26.
Earlier this year, De La Soul launched a Kickstarter with the intent of crowd-funding their next album. The campaign was a huge success, beating their goal of $110,000 with a whopping $600,000 in fan donations.
You may have heard that De La Soul recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their first album in eleven years. The Kickstarter wrapped up today, and the final tally is in: $600,829 from 11,169 backers.
