Virginia rapper DP's buzz has been slowly growing these past few weeks, as he prepared fans for his (debut) free album, Designer Casket, released via 300 Entertainment. The project finally arrived today.
The two VA natives currently on the rise (one slightly ahead of the other in terms of buzz), link up once again on "For The Love Of." DP is catching up to his Virginia brethren though, as the rapper recently announced that he signed a deal with 300 Ent.
After hitting us with track “Wait” a couple weeks back, Virginia newcomer, DP, is back on the scene today with a new music video for his track “Jabar.”
    After teaming up with D.R.A.M.
VA rappers DP and D.R.A.M. link up for new slapper "50/50," is an ode to their home state, which they wear on their sleeve as a badge of honor.
After a good few months of silence in the last part of 2014, DP looks like he's finally gearing up to release his Designer Casket project, first announced last spring.
As up-and-coming Virginia Beach rapper DP hasn't shared a new solo track since last July's "Glitch", the fact that he just posted a new one on his SoundCloud is cause for celebration.
What with Suge Knight and Bobby Shmurda both having their bail revoked in the past few weeks, the concept of the "flight risk" has been in the news quite a bit this month.
It's been way too long since we heard from promising VA Beach rapper DP, who dropped off a few burners in the spring and then went quiet ever since. Today, he's back with fellow Virginian D.R.A.M. on hand for a collab called "SuperLit."
If you're the type who's been thirsting for unforgiving Virgina Beach raps backed by minimal, slightly experimental production since 2009, look no further than DP.
Since giving the world Timbaland, Pharrell Williams and Clipse in the late nineties/early 2000s, the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area hasn't really been a hotbed for hip hop talent. Well allow DP, a 20-year-old newcomer from the area, to change that.
