Big Boi's on-going mash-up series is still going strong (week 10 for anyone counting). However for this week's release, the Outkast member decided to take things back to last year's "Mama Told Me" record with Kelly Rowland and Little Dragon.
We are still hoping and praying that there will be an Outkast reunion, although that is looking far more unlikely as both parties vehemently deny this, despite the fact that both Andre and Big Boi are frequenting the festival rounds together.
The OutKast rumors have been all over the map this past year. It seems as though every other week we get confirmation or denial of a new OutKast album, a solo album from Andre 3000, or whatever it may be.
On paper, hip-hop and opera seem like completely different styles of music, but many producers have shown us otherwise. Using dramatic, often high-pitched vocal samples, they add a theatrical element to rap tracks.
Following the announcement that OutKast would be reuniting for not just one, but forty different festival tours, we've also heard from Big Boi himself that he's working on a new solo effort. Before we get any leaks off the new LP though, Big Boi is returning to his last effort Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors.
Good news, everyone! Shortly after receiving confirmation that Outkast would be reuniting, not only for a Coachella 2014 show, but for an actual tour, the legendary duo have been spotted together-- although no word on if it was to work on music.
