Summer Walker prepares to release new heat for the summer.

R&B had such a major year in 2019 and one of the biggest stars to emerge was Summer Walker. Her album Over It was easily one of the best projects to drop last year out of any genre but unfortunately, she's continuously threatened to never release music again. Despite that, she's released covers and short snippets over the months with hints that a new project is along the way.

In late April, Summer teased a snippet of some new music on her Finsta story. Following that, she said that was the last bit of unreleased music she'll be sharing until she drops a new EP. She didn't explain when the project might come but it appears to be coming soon. Taking to IG, she shared a series of photos with the caption, "EP coming soon babies ft. @no1 no1."

Along with snippets of new music that she's previewed over the months, she's also shared live covers of records like Drake's "Summer's Over Interlude" as well as Don Toliver's "No Idea."

The singer did reveal that she's quitting music after 2020, though it's unclear if she's sticking to those plans. But, we are excited for whatever she has in store for the remainder of the year. Keep your eyes peeled for more news surrounding Summer Walker's upcoming EP. Check out the post below.
